HOW TO MEASURE WINDOWS FOR BLINDS

INSIDE RECESS

• Always use a metal tape measure
• Check width and drop measurements as shown below, allow for obstructions or dimensional variations caused by tiles, handles, catches or dado rails.

Take width measurements (A-B) Then take length measurement (C-D) and use the narrowest.	Take 3 width measurements (A-B) (E-F) (G-H) Then take two length measurements and use the longest.

Remember not to deduct any allowances from the above measurements as we will automatically do this for you as it varies for different types of blinds.

OUTSIDE RECESS

• Decide by how much the window recess is to be overlapped, - a minimum of 5cm (2") for rollers and 7.5cm (3") for romans on each dimension is recommended.
• Measure the width dimensions first as in diagram 2 then the drop dimensions as in diagram 2.
